FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

  1. Does Brookstone provide a warranty on my house?
Yes.  Brookstone Homes offers a comprehensive first year warranty and a Home Builders Limited Warranty.  After 11 months of living in your home, contact us on our customer care page to schedule a one year walk through.  During this time we will walk through your home with you and address any warrantable issues at no charge.
  1. How do I submit a warranty request?
Fill out the information in the customer care portion and we will get back to you within 72 hours.
  1. Can I pick my own lot?
Yes.  You may choose any one of our available lots from our large lot selection.  Check with your agent to see which lots are still available.
  1. About how long will it take to build my house on a presale?
Once the permits have come back, we estimate an average build period about 75 days.  Check the Builders Addendum for specifics.  For a printable Road Map Home, see roadmap on customer care page.
  1. Will I meet with the builder prior to construction of my new home?
Yes.  This is a time dedicated for you to have any possible questions answered.  In this meeting we will also go over the Purchase and Sale Agreement, show you the lot fit and discuss any possible changes (paint color, appliances, fixtures, hard surfaces) that you are interested in making. Talk to your agent to set up a pre-construction meeting.
  1. Does Brookstone offer financing?
No.  We have a selection of completive mortgage lenders available to help you along with the financing process if needed.   We accept VA, FHA, RHS, and Conventional loans.
  1. Can I pick the paint colors?
Yes. Due to HOA regulations, you are limited to pick from our over 20 designer paint schemes in our pre approved community paint book.
  1. Can I make changes to my house?
Yes.  There are a limited number of changes that you can make due to the nature of our streamlined build schedule.  Those changes available are: cabinets, countertops, flooring, and paint color.
  1. Can I provide my own lighting and plumbing fixtures?
No.  Due to electrician and plumber’s warrantee’s, these items are non warrantable and will void any warrantee of their services.
  1. May I have my home inspected while under construction?
Yes. You will need to coordinate with your sales agent and inspector to arrange any inspection and fill out warranty request information on customer care page prior to scheduling.  You are liable for any and all inspection expenses.
  1. When will I have a walkthrough of my new home?
Walkthrough’s are typically scheduled a week prior to closing.  Talk to your sales agent to schedule.
